Barbara Stanwyck and Burt Lancaster star in the classic thriller _Sorry, Wrong Number_. Lucille Fletcher adapts her radio drama for the screen, telling the story of a bedridden woman who’s trying to track down her missing husband and accidentally overhears two men plotting a murder when her telephone call is misrouted. Stanwyck gives an extraordinary performance and director Anatole Litvak does a good job at creating tension and suspense. However, the storytelling can get a little convoluted with flashbacks within flashbacks, and at times it can be difficult to keep track of who’s who. Yet while it has a few problems, _Sorry, Wrong Number_ is an entertaining and chilling crime drama.
