[Venice '25] It's always surprising when a film director decides to express their most personal emotions, such as grief and loss, through a film. But it's the convergence that this painful and deeply personal experience finds, its true meaning. There is so much life in a film that addresses loss and death, expressed in a place that shows nature returning to the cycle of existence. The expression of grief and loss is reflected in the life that flows around us, giving us a sense of hope that it is possible to move forward even when the pain hits with the force of a hurricane.
