Sinopsis
Dos jóvenes naúfragos mueren dejando solo a su hijo de dos años en la barca. El niño es recogido en alta mar por un barco, donde Sarah Hargrave, que viaja con su pequeña hija, se hace cargo del niño. Al declararse una epidemia de cólera y para evitar una muerte cierta, Sarah y los niños son puestos en una pequeña embarcación que, después de varios días a la deriva, llega a una isla desierta. Al morir Sarah, los jóvenes se quedan solos y deberán luchar por sobrevivir.

A painfully mediocre sequel that adds almost nothing of value. It rehashes scenes from the first film, rewrites the ending of The Blue Lagoon, and expects us to believe the same family magically washes up on the exact same island. In the middle of a massive ocean. Seriously? While the film holds a slightly better pace than the original, it repeats the same uncomfortable trope of sexualizing its underage female lead — this time a 15-year-old Milla Jovovich. The only real highlight is the scenery — the tropical landscapes are stunning, and the cinematography captures them beautifully. Sadly, gorgeous nature can’t save a lazy script. Fully agree with Rotten Tomatoes’ 0% — well deserved. Rating: ⭐ 3/10 Production: 2/10 Authenticity: 2/10 Cinematography: 7/10
