[Raindance '25] The film moves in the caustic humor and absurd monologues, but it maintains a very successful film noir tone and is supported by songs that straddle folk and blues, with lyrics that refer to the images. Within its neo-noir comedy tone, one of the most interesting aspects is the way it builds its characters, avoiding stereotypes to give them a certain depth. It is also self-indulgent with its independent film nature that looks towards cinematic references, and ends up being a story about redemption and second chances, through secondhand objects that also have a purpose again.
