Outrageously funny, Fanboys is a brilliant satirical comedy. A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...a group of Star Wars fans awaiting the release of Star Wars Episode I - The Phantom Menace attempt to break into Skywalker ranch in order to steal a copy of the film so that their dying friend can get an advanced screening. The cast is full of comedic talent, including Dan Fogler, Jay Baruchel, and Kristen Bell. Additionally, there are a ton of fanboy type cameos that are hilarious. All of the Star Wars comedy really works well and is rather clever, but there are also a lot of clichéd nerd jokes that fall flat. Yet even with its flaws, the force is strong with this film; Fanboys is a sincere and wildly entertaining tribute to the fan community.

Well it needs some time to get momentum, but when it has its actually nice.

I remember watching episode III when it first came out when I was a little kid. My dad showed me all the others and I was so exited to see the next one and the people dressed up added to that. This film kind of reminded me of how exciting that was, even if I do love Star Trek and Stargate too. Sue me.
