There's no better sleeping pill than a Ingmar Bergman film
The original title of the film is Höstsonaten.
What a masterpiece! I must admit that the few Bergman films I've seen so far have never truly captivated me, despite their supposedly high-caliber works. But this long-overdue revelation and merciless reckoning of a daughter with her mother was simply wonderful to watch and gripped me from the very first moment so intensely that I was sometimes breathless with the oppressive atmosphere. With the incredibly powerful performance of Liv Ullmann and the stunning film legend Ingrid Bergman, who even in her later years delivered a captivating and impressively magnificent performance, this film, which resembles a stage play, was almost perfect for me.
Absolute Masterpiece Perfect Acting To be seen again and again
