No Retreat, No Surrender has some of the worst acting, and one of the most incoherent stories, ever filmed. Yet, and I'm not ashamed to say this, I kind of love this film. There's, of course, a lot of nostalgia talking here. I loved this as a kid, and didn't really notice how big of a mess it really is back then. Now... I don't really care. As with most films you were obsessed with as a kid, it's hard not to remember all the good times you had while watching it, even though you could hardly see the image as the VHS you had was a copy of a copy of a copy. No matter how you look at it, No Retreat, No Surrender is BAD. I happen to think it has a place in the "so bad, it's good" category, but if you are coming into this without having any memories attached to it, I suspect many of you will hate it. Consider yourself warned.
This is one of those movies that it's so bad it's so good! Watch it and laugh at it with your best friends and loved ones!
