story very boring. effects are terrible. acting is good though. I think if they had better budget, this may have been a good movie
It starts well, but just when it should get interesting—the sea, the shark—it gets boring. The Asylum shark movies are more entertaining and have a bigger budget.
Probably the worst shark film I've seen honestly, just bad all round.
Not perfect but for a film set mostly in one location, the pacing stays tight and engaging. The cast is solid, the tension well maintained, and the cinematography, particularly the lighting, keeps the confined setting visually dynamic and atmospheric.
I’m happy to report that this is another very solid shark movie. We’ve gotten a few well above average or better shark movies this year. This had pretty solid acting, a good amount of gore and surprisingly gorgeous cinematography. The little bit of the shark that we do see looked quite good. I love that they utilized practical effects to make this. I really like the setting and backdrop of the war. I thought everything about this looked really good. I also really enjoyed several of the characters. The lead was very likable and was well acted. I do think this had some pacing issues later into the middle half. The first hour or so is very strong but then runs into a few issues. Overall though this is a very solid shark entry that you should be sure to check out.
