a perfect court thriller. great story, a funnny devito and a clear message to all insurance companies and law firms... 9/10
Great movie, very anti-corp. It beautifully shows what all those insurance (and not just them) companies really are. All actors did a great job too.
If you like courtroom dramas, you'll not be disappointed with this. As others have previously pointed, Danny DeVito does provide a little comic relief. The rest of the supporting cast is fantastic too.
A classic-style courtroom drama that Francis Ford Coppola manages to keep on track, avoiding melodrama through some subtle touches of cynicism in the narration written by Michael Herr. It remains a compelling story, enriched by a supporting cast of female characters who are portrayed with great skill, whether as witnesses or as figures in the protagonist's life. The prosecutor's closing argument to the jury is particularly noteworthy: "If you rule in their favor, you will pave the way for government control of health coverage." The threat to public health care.
