Heist 88 (2023) - ❤x7 This was a really good heist movie unlike many of the newer ones coming out lately. Sit back, relax, and enjoy it. 5/10 meh The acting is okay to good, the story is interesting and a little nostalgic, the problem is it’s promising but doesn’t deliver in the end. It’s a shame really, because in the right hands it could have been a 6 maybe even a 7 out of 10. If your stuck on a movie to watch, then give it a go, but otherwise wait until you have nothing else to watch….

Normally Vance is one of my favorite actors and I expected way better with Sharp and David by his side, but they really weren't. Their roles were minimal and dismally written. The actors, particularly the younger actors, were spot on.... BUT the script sucked overall and in almost every scene. The story had promise but it wasn't written by any particular point of view. Not enough depth to any of the characters and the scenes where there was opportunity to create depth it never went there. I'm loathe to say it, but it was too short, never created engagement for the viewer with any of the characters, not even the lead. There's better films to watch. The cast gets it up to a 4, but without them, a solid 1.

Really bad acting from everyone involved, even from names like Keith David. The plot is very weak; and even that it has a duration of an hour and a half; it felt too long and dragged out. I know it said it was based on a true story, but I was expecting more, in every aspect. The half-ass ending also didn't helped to give it at least a nice closure. A poor 3 for me
