" I am Jesus... Gris... Jesus Gris... Jesus Gris." This is Guillermo del Toro's first full-length film, not perfected by any means, but shows elements of del Toro's brilliance.

A pretty interesting debut film from Guillermo del Toro. It's not the best made but it definitely had my attention. Ron Perlman was great, I wish he could have gotten that nose job.

Interesting. A slow burn, but good story. Not one I’d rewatch though.

“Stupid-mptherfucker-cocksucking-son-of-a-bitch-asshole-pendejo“ Not at all what I was expecting but a decent movie nonetheless. I wasn’t hooked until Jesus looked at the raw meat funny lol. The mythos and themes of the device are presented well. I was expecting more chaotic things to happen around Jesus based on reviews I’ve read. There are some very funny moments but more so in the first half. The writing for Ron Perlman’s character was a little too overdramatized at times. His acting was good so I was sold in the end. Tamara Shanath is definitely the strongest in the cast. Watching his grandfather use the device and transform, first from the shadows, and by the end he is able to aid his dwindling grandfather with the device. Writing this review I’m realizing how beautiful the story is. Raising a point.
