Has none of the charm of the first one, big disappointment.
My Spy The Eternal City (2024) - ❤x7 This is one of those - sit back - check your brain - and enjoy the show. It does have a bunch of good one-liners. How I rate: 1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time 4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this 7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too 9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!
We were waiting for that sequel, but it was a disaster. Nothing to do with the charm, cuteness, nice story of the first. The chemistry that they had is was totally gone, it was a disaster sequel.
The movie wasn't very good, but what was that kissing scene like? I died laughing. That's my favorite scene.
Based on the general scores I was expecting something far worse than it was. It wasn't great by any means, not even on par with the original, but this movie still gave me more chuckles than I was expecting just like the original did. That alone gets it a pass from me. Since most of the comedy/comedic timings landed for me, that's where the movie was at it's best. If the comedy didn't land for you in the first one, this one isn't going to convert you. The rest of the plot and action can be skipped or if you have to duck away to put on washing or dinner because it's nothing you havn't seen before many times. First two acts that leans into the comedy more, work better. Was also 20 minutes too long, third act could have easily been tightened up and would have been rated higher if it was a nice 90-100ish minute movie. At least for me, an average movie that overstays its welcome quickly becomes a bad movie.
