Synopsis

William Masters and Virginia Johnson are real-life pioneers of the science of human sexuality. Their research touched off the sexual revolution and took them from a midwestern teaching hospital to the cover of Time magazine and multiple appearances on Johnny Carson's couch. He is a brilliant scientist out of touch with his own feelings, and she is a single working mother ahead of her time. The series chronicles their unusual lives, romance, and unlikely pop culture trajectory.

I think it's now (s03) much worse than it used to be.

What I like about the show: Especially in the first two seasons, the characters and stories are very well written and funny. Unfortunately, the last two seasons are a little less good and the level can't quite be maintained. What I also don't like. When you break it down, everyone in the show is just cheating on everyone else. Morally highly reprehensible 😉

The quality wavers a little in the middle, especially in the third season, but this show is mostly an excellent study of sex, relationships, and intimacy.

It was a good show, but seemed to get stuck in a rut. Secondary story lines just end. By the end the show felt tired. The acting was great the writing was good, but it ran out of gas half way through the last year.

This show represents everything that's wrong with America morally, but I sure do like it.
