She's a voice for the voiceless.
Renowned forensic pathologist Dr. Kay Scarpetta returns to her position as Virginia's Chief Medical Examiner, where she investigates a haunting murder with eerie reminders from her first big case decades ago. In 1998, Scarpetta works alongside Detective Pete Marino and FBI Agent Benton Wesley as they investigate a series of brutal stranglings. Based on the best-selling novels by Patricia Cornwell.

Why are they trying to make smoking cool again
2 out of 5 stars. Do NOT waste your time the season ends on a cliffhanger and won't be back probably for two years.
That was...something. where do I even begin. Too many sub plots, none of the characters are likeable especially Lucy, why is a forensic pathologist acting like a detective in criminal investigations, the family soap opera got boring really quick, over the top acting, slow and predictable plots, too much yelling and screaming for no reason, characters acting a certain way out of nowhere and the list goes on...with that cast it's really a pity...what happened? I don't think that I'm interested to return for the second season. One was enough.
Hysterical shouting most of the time. Bad writing the rest of the time.
There are a lot of unnecessary scenes that only seem to drag out the runtime, with many dull monologues that add nothing to the story or the characters. On top of that, there is quite a bit of overacting, especially from Jamie Lee Curtis, and the show would have been better if a few characters had been left out.
