A prisoner on death row in the US, a vicar in a quiet English town, and a maths teacher trapped in a cellar cross paths in the most unexpected way.

Convoluted. Full of plot holes and nonsensical decisions. Doesn't actually answer any of the questions that it raises. It had so much promise as well. Such a shame.
An awesome mini series with top notch actors. Loved it. If you like police mysteries don't miss this BBC mini series.
Another terrific series from the BBC. Lots to keep you interested and a really good twist at the end. Upping it from a 9/10 to 10/10
[Netflix] You have to be very generous, or very fan of Stephen Moffat, to buy this unlikely plot in which the characters make absurd decisions in order to fit the script's claims. Everything is so artificial, adjusted with such little skill that it loses the sense of irony, but above all its capacity for surprise. And it seems that not even the director knows quite what to do with this.
