I love these pre-code Busby Berkeley pictures, and this is a good one. Fun "let's put on a show" vibe, and the ending numbers (especially "Buffalo") are fun. Sometimes it felt like there was one character too many, but it's a sprawling backstage epic and I don't think I mind--especially when it clocks in at just 90 minutes. All in all, a very fine musical.

"Listen to those dancing feet...". Simple story ending in big production numbers. Filled with quotes that have become the cliches of our lives. Loved the end, but struggled to wade through the stylized performances of the day. Classic, though it might be, it was just a 6 (fair) out of 10 for me.
