I love Barbara Streisand and Hello Dolly is one of my favorite musicals, but for whatever reason I had never gotten around to seeing this movie. No matter what you have to say about the movie itself, there's no denying that the music is amazing. And Barbara's sings those songs like no one else. The songs "second hand rose" and "my man" were Danny's most well known songs in real life. And beyond the music, the acting is very well done. Barbara gives a lively and emotional performance and I loved all the character that she brought to the role. This is definitely worth seeing and a Barbara classic.
The editing is a bit flawed, but what doesn't work out, Barbra will sing. ;)
