He wanted it all...but he got more than he bargained for.
Ollie Trinke is a young, suave music publicist who seems to have it all, with a new wife and a baby on the way. But life deals him a bum hand when he's suddenly faced with single fatherhood, a defunct career and having to move in with his father. To bounce back, it takes a new love and the courage instilled in him by his daughter.

While the base story is kinda heartwarming and nice, the movie is quite naive and superficial. Despite the potentially deep subjects of suddenly loosing a parent and of the challenges of single parenthood, the mediocre acting capabilities of Affleck and the shallow script do not manage to build on those elements. In the end, a mediocre Rom-Com-Drama that could have been more. PS: The lovely Liv Tyler and the charming Raquel Castro save it a bit from total mediocrity.
This is one of the movies I had always heard about, but never actually seen. For being a fan of Kevin Smith, I am surprised it took me so long! While it may not be the greatest rom com ever, it does have a lot of the early 2000s quirky humor that is certainly feel good. I personally enjoyed how this was more of a "guys perspective" to a rom com which will make it stick around longer for myself. Rating: 3/5 - 7.5/10 - Worth Watching
Kevin keeps Jersey and the sentimentality
The first half of the film was amazing, but the second half was not written very well. It's definitely related to the romance with the video shop lady 10❤- Masterpiece 💯 9❤- Excellent 8❤ - Amazing 👌 7❤- Great 🌞 6❤ - Good 👍 5❤ - Average 🤕 4❤ - Bad but watchable :octagonal_sign: 3❤ - Bad 😭 2😡- Awful :face_vomiting: 1:face_with_symbols_over_mouth: - Bull Shit
if i watched this back in the years it was released probably i wouldn't have loved it as much as i do now, the competition were so high back on the 20's .. the peak year for movies with such genre .. but im watching this on 2024 .. and we don't have good movies todays unfortunately ..movies with a plot close to reality, with a free sense of humor and great characters. emotionally it was lacking except for that moment with his pops it hut hard i cried :') so overall it was a fun ride
