I have a fondness for quiet indie dramas, and I was enjoying this one, however it is so light on plot that it just felt like a waste of time. The story is so oddly specific, and it plays out with none of the standard twists - cliche as they may be - that I was left with the feeling of "oh, is that all?" Really, all that was keeping me engaged was Wiig as our lead, Johanna. I like when actors known for comedy can step out of that comfort zone, and shine in a serious role. Wiig has a soft vulnerability that is perfect for this type of film. Even though the rest of the actors were great, they were just pieces of an uninteresting story. I could not recommend this to anyone. I mean, if you like serious indie drams where there are no ups and downs, where the story is just a straight line to the end, and everything works out fine, with no complications... sure, have at it. Personally, I needed a bit more from this one. Wiig was great. Just go watch _Welcome to Me_ (2014) instead.

I am a huge fan of seeing quality comedic actors in dramatic roles and this movie the leads in this movie did not disappoint. While the film moves at a glacial pace the story picks up a bit towards the last act and I think the payoff is excellent.
