This is definitely one of my favorite shows of the year thus far. Really cool vibe overall that the show has going on. Excellent writing, acting, and cinematography. Thumbs up thus far and I'm expecting the same to continue as more episodes of this season continues. Definitely recommended!
Best 2022 surprise so far hope the quality will be same for all season 9/10
It is like watching half a movie...
From the first season I was mesmerized by Tokyo Vice, I read the original book back in the early 2000s and it only made me love Japanese Culture even more This show dives into the real life and politics of the Yakuza, Japanese Police, and life. The actors are all perfect in their roles with a lot of heavy hitters. I loved Season one and Season two even more. Proper quality show and should not be missed
[HBO Max] It works best when the main character becomes a supporting character, especially in the final episodes. One of the problems is that they doesn't know how to fit Jake's character into the criminal plot, which is the most interesting and the one that gets the most tension. As fictional as, some say, the real Jake Adelstein's own experiences, the series works well as a crime thriller.
