Der wohlgesittete Ned ist in der Lage, tote Dinge wieder zum Leben zu erwecken. Er entdeckt diese Fähigkeit bereits als Kind. Als Erwachsener beschließt er, seine Gabe für das Gute zu nutzen: nicht nur, indem er verdorbene Früchte wieder frisch und genießbar macht und damit in seinem Café „The Pie Hole“ wunderbarste Kuchen anbieten kann, sondern auch, indem er dem Detektiv Emerson beim Lösen von Mordfällen hilft. Er erweckt die Mordopfer mit einer Berührung kurzzeitig wieder zum Leben, damit sie ihnen ihren Mörder nennen. Dafür kassieren die beiden auch die Belohnungen, die auf die Täter ausgesetzt sind.

One of the most underrated TV shows in recent history. Pushing Daisies is quirky, fun, original, hilarious, fairytail'ish, with brilliant dialogue and a whole lot of innocence and heart. A MUST WATCH.
Excellent show! A very clever and original show. The story, characters, costume and set design, cinematography, narrator - and so much more- really pulls you into a fictional wonderland. It always seems these beautiful and unique shows come and go so quickly without many people taking notice. A rare gem that was canceled way too soon. Fans of this show might also enjoy Wonderfalls and Dead Like Me for television series, Amelie, the movie, is a wonderful comparison to the stylization of this show.
Not everyones cup of tea but really good if you give it chance.
