Kristen Bell (geboren am 18. Juli 1980 in Michigan) ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin, die durch ihre Hauptrolle in der Fernsehserie Veronica Mars und ihre Nebenrolle als feuererzeugende Bösewichtin in der Serie Heroes bekannt wurde.
Nach zahlreichen Bühnenerfahrungen als Kind und als Teenager in High-School-Musicals folgte für Kristen Bell eine Ausbildung an der renommierten Tisch School of Arts in New York. Im Jahre 2001 hatte Kristen Bell ihr erstes Engagement am Broadway im Musical The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Bereits ein Jahr später spielte Kristen Bell in dem Arthur Miller-Stück Hexenjagd an der Seite von Stars wie Laura Linney und Liam Neeson.
Ihre erste Hauptrolle in einem Spielfilm bekam Kristen Bell ebenfalls im Jahr 2001, an der Seite von Chris Rock. Nach vielen Auftritten in TV-Serien und weiteren Musicals gelang Kristen Bell 2004 schließlich, eine Rolle in einem Kinofilm zu ergattern: Im Thriller Spartan spielte sie neben Val Kilmer ein Entführungsopfer.
