This movie is seriously one of the best comedy movies ever. To be fair I am a little biased since it is partially based on my favorite musician Pete Doherty (Possibly by mistake). The music is right up my alley for the most part (except African Child, that album/song is absolute shit). Jonah Hill puts out his strongest performance outside of Superbad and Russell Brand without a doubt puts out his strongest performance ever. These two really play off of each other effectively and have some of the funniest interactions between two characters ever. This movie slays me every time I see it, the comedy can be very simple but it does not get stale or old no matter how much you see it. On top of being really funny and having a great soundtrack, it's also a pretty solid movie. The plot of a washed up musician surrounded by the wrong people his entire life in this downward drug spiral being lifted out of it by forming this friendship with the right person is done surprisingly well. If you don't enjoy this movie then you have serious problems.
Hilarious movie. Brand and Hill have great chemistry. Great performances all round in this movie. Almost a sequel to forgetting Sarah marshall. A must see.
It was fine until the rape scene. It was ridiculous, i'm so disappointed.
The sort-of sequel to Forgetting Sarah Marshall (also starring Jonah Hill) is a good time. It’s got the trademark Jonah Hill humor, and even if it isn’t top tier Hill, it has hilarious parts and is still quality throughout. Odds are, if you’re watching this movie in 2022, you know what to expect. You won’t be disappointed. Rating: 3.5/5 - 8/10 - Would Recommend
I expected this to be so much better because Jonah Hill always makes me laugh, yet it was just a 'meh' movie for me.
