Leonard Simon Nimoy war ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler, Regisseur, Filmproduzent, Autor, Musiker und Fotograf. Internationale Bekanntheit erlangte er mit der Science-FIction-Fernsehserie „Raumschiff Enterprise“ (Star Trek) in der Rolle des Mr. Spock, in der er zwischen 1966 und 2013 mit Unterbrechungen über einen Zeitraum von fast fünfzig Jahren in mehreren darauf basierenden Film- und Fernsehproduktionen zu sehen war.
