Living up to his name, Victor did indeed cook a bit with this. I also forgot how annoying Ben and Gwen were as kids in the original series lol. An underappreciated change from Alien Force is the fact that they're not insufferable lol (and Kevin's there). The animation is also better than I thought it'd be. Usually, 2D -> CG doesn't work well - and whilst this still has issues (like the characters kind of approaching the uncanny valley, or the fairly loose lip synching), it does do a bit better than I thought when it comes to the overall tone & humour. Alas, it's got quite a bit of exposition (for the sake of the audience - explaining basic aspects from the show that are required to know what's going on in the movie) that the characters shouldn't really be mentioning to other characters who already know about them (like Azmuth being the inventor of the Omnitrix. They repeat it thrice. Why?), but whatever. Anyway, aside from those three-ish minor points it's not bad. I will not be watching it again, but I don't regret watching it (so it's already better than the live-action movies just because of that lol).
