An average-to-decent action movie, a little predictable at times, a little cheesy

It was inspiring & heartbreaking to see what our army has to go through to win this war (which should not have happened in the first place) . Nowadays Bollywood rarely make these type of movies with simple & beautiful songs and without exaggerating the action scenes. -1 for not showing much of Vikram sir's personal life, you can read about it on Wikipedia about his decision making capabilities. In the movie he is shown very impulsive. -1 for not showing that he had fever and injuries before his final mission but he still decided to continue with it. You can read more about him and other heroes in the book 'Param Vir: Our Heroes in Battle' Or 'Wikipedia'.

Vastly overrated and visually amateurish. For a film tackling such serious real-life subject matter, Shershaah trades cinematic rigor for cheap soap-opera melodrama. The framing is chaotic, the cinematography feels like a glossy TV movie, and the cast is directed to overact every single emotion. It completely abandons the grounded realism a war biopic demands in favor of superficial emotional manipulation.:face_vomiting:

It is sincere, emotional, and carried almost entirely by its lead performance. Sidharth Malhotra finally finds a role that fits him perfectly, his portrayal of Captain Vikram Batra feels earnest and respectful without slipping into chest-thumping theatrics. The romance track adds softness, and Kiara brings quiet warmth that balances the war intensity. The battle sequences are solid, the patriotism heartfelt rather than loud, and the final stretch genuinely hits. It’s not revolutionary filmmaking, but it understands its purpose and delivers with conviction. A very well made war film, well filled with emotions and its heart at the right place.
