I loved this movie. The trailer is misleading, this is not just a light comedy about infidelity. It is almost Shakespearean in it's twists and turns. The acting is superb, the characters are fully drawn and performed. Actions have commensurate consequences. This was filmed 3 years ago (why they kept it in a can so long is a mystery) so we are seeing a very young Alicia Vikander, and she is superb! (This was concurrent with EX MACHINA.) As I was leaving the movie I spoke with a couple who were there because of the book the movie was based on is superb. I give this movie an 8.5 (classic) out of 10. [Drama, Romance]

Too much rushed out to be truthfully good. What a pity though, cast and plot had potential

A jumbled effort that wilts faster than an ageing tulip. A pity, because the cast and the settings are very good.

Kept my attention but way too many Shakespearean twists, script expected us to both know a lot and know nothing about the setting, and main love interest had no appeal besides being young.

Meh. Just the same story as all the other stories with a period and a premise that wasn’t explored.
