The backstory of the various players involved in a heist, along with the build-up to the event itself. Making a non-linear story based around a central event is an easy idea to throw about but a difficult one to pull off. 7 Minutes is a good example of how this concept can fail. Martin puts his boring characters in a boring screenplay that jumps all over the place for no reason.
