another investigation, this time with a journalist - this is **barely** a Hellraiser movie

"This world, it obviously disappoints you all. That is why you chose to begin this journey. And since you gave yourselves so willingly, allow me to finish what he started." Once again, this feels like two different movies; one is about a cult, and the other is a Hellraiser movie. This is the third time this has happened, and I hope the next one isn't the same because I'm close to giving up on these movies. On the other hand, there are some interesting ideas throughout the movie that needed better execution.

I fell asleep but I'll give it points for trying

Hellraiser: Deader feels like Rick Bota going back to the same well one too many times. The psychological-thriller structure is reused yet again—this time centered around a journalist—and it just doesn’t have the freshness or cohesion that made Inferno work. The Hellraiser elements feel even more loosely attached here, almost as if the franchise branding was layered on after the fact rather than organically integrated. It’s not offensively terrible, but it’s dull, repetitive, and easily the weakest entry so far in this stretch of sequels. Nothing truly stands out, and that might be the biggest issue. This one will fade from memory quickly. Rating: 1/5 – 55% – Would Not Recommend
