This was so sweet and affirming as someone who hated braces and retainers and just accepted my overbite, speech impediment and all. Every difference is not meant to be fixed and aligned, but in fact can be something to be celebrated. Anyone who’s had body or self image issues can relate to this, and I’ve come to love that I am recognizably trans, that I have a different smile, a different way of talking. I would not be me without those things, and I am beautiful. Les Blank’s sincere admiration and affection radiates through the screen, and basks you in an aura of self acceptance and self love.
