Hummingbird (released as Redemption in the United States) is a 2013 British action drama film written and directed by Steven Knight, in his feature film directorial debut.

Hummingbird (Redemption) (2013) - ❤x6 I couldn't even recognize Statham in the first couple of scenes. Other than that, it is a standard Statham action movie. "I'm not your Sister. I'm drunk, and I'm up against the wall." says the drunk Nun. How I rate: 1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time 4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this 7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too 9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!

Not your typical Jason Statham film, but a very nice surprise. Yes, there were a couple of punches thrown but this was much more a "drama" than an "action" film...and Jason Statham proved he has the ability to pull off more than just the tough guy roles. I watched this because, based on the synopsis, I expected another Statham action/fight movie but this was so much better. I can understand the American title _Redemption_ but I think the UK title _Hummingbird_ would have carried just as well. When you watch the movie, you can certainly understand why. For the true fan of Statham, I would defintely recommend this; for those who prefer his action movies, you'll probably want to pass on this one. This is very much a drama. I loved it.
