this is one of my favorite zombie movies
I like zombie movies, I like them a lot. I'm also not a fan of horror movies. Given the fact this focuses purely on the zombie apocalypse and not trying to constantly jump scare instead makes it very fun to watch. The idea of a high class society is quite novel although it will never stop being frustrating to see the poor attempts people make to stay alive. It's quite old now, but still pretty good.
The Zombie Master!
"Land of the Dead" was probably the last big splash in director George A. Romero’s filmography. In this well-equipped zombie flick, he was able to really live out his typical social criticism one last time. However, the film does not come close to Romero's true classics. Although the effects are really strong in places, the post-apocalypse depicted here is not exactly credible, the characters are very one-dimensional, and the plot never really gets going. Apart from that, however, the film is pretty solid. It's worth watching for the entertaining zombie spectacle alone.
> "Isn't that what we're doing? Pretending to be alive?" I know it's party of the Of The Dead series but feels a little different. I don't mind zombies trying to do the last thing they did when they were alive but getting too smart is where you lose me a bit. There are some cool scenes but doesn't justify this movie existing.
