Handlung
Als ein Patient, der nackt in ein Krankenhaus eingeliefert worden ist, unter mysteriösen Begleitumständen verstirbt, steht der gestreßte Notarzt Dr. Guy Luthan vor einem Rätsel. Doch schon bald führt ihn eine heiße Spur zu seinem ebenso genialen wie skrupellosen Oberarzt Dr. Myrick. Als Luthan herausbekommt, daß dieser an Obdachlosen experimentiert, um das Wachstum neuer Nervenstränge zu erforschen, begibt er sich selbst in akute Lebensgefahr.

This is too long. It doesn't warrant the two hours it runs. That said, it's a solid thriller. If you feel like watching Hugh Grant and Gene Hackman for two hours, you'll enjoy it. I didn't find anything formulaic about the plot.

Quite a strange film... It came out at the height of ER being the best show/most popular on TV. It also has an eerie sense to it that jars a little against the procedural of the hospital scenes. Being more definitive one way or the other may have helped Hugh Grant play his role. He is out of his depth in some scenes, particularly towards the end. Gene Hackman is always a joy to watch. A true screen legend. It's not a bad film necessarily, just a bit bland. 6.25/10
