For a B movie, this is far better than most of A movie relased by Hollywood.
A pulse-pounding action triumph! Scott Adkins shines as Kris Chaney, delivering jaw-dropping martial arts with raw intensity. Paired with Marko Zaror’s chilling El Corvo, their chemistry fuels explosive fight scenes that steal the show. Director Ernesto Díaz Espinoza crafts a gritty, fast-paced thriller with heart, set against Colombia’s vivid backdrop. Alanna De La Rossa adds emotional depth as Elisa. A must-see for action fans, Diablo is a bone-crunching, adrenaline-fueled ride!
The action & fighting scenes were good, something to expect from an Adkins movie, but for the story? Certainly seems to be inspired by the "Terminator" (Without the sci-fi elements) and wish they came up with some good plot or different kind of story. Want to see more of Adkins Vs Zaror in more movies please!
One of the better recent Adkins vehicles, this moves like action-movie fast food: hot, greasy, satisfying while you’re consuming it, and weirdly easy to forget an hour later. Marko Zaror is a huge reason it works, giving the film one of the best villains in Adkins-land in a while, and thankfully he can fight at Adkins’s level instead of just glaring theatrically from across the room. Adkins himself is better than usual too, showing a little more range than the old “punch first, mumble later” setting, even if the script still shortchanges the backstory and leaves the Kris-Vicente dynamic feeling undercooked. The pace is terrific, the action hits hard, and the movie rarely lets its pulse drop, but once it’s over you realize the emotional meal was mostly empty calories. Critics landed in a pretty similar place: strong action, a memorable Zaror villain, better-than-expected heart, but some shakier writing around the character dynamics.
I like the Bond villain with the steel hand. Too much crying and drama.
