I’m basically a sucker for these super cliché and unoriginal sports movies. This pretty much has every standard trope you can think of. The acting is pretty average at best. The lead actor felt very wooden but that’s fine for a movie like this. The heart is obviously in the right place and it was kind of relatable for me. I enjoyed the story enough, I liked the relationships and the training. The fight choreography left a lot to be desired and the final fight is not great. I’m probably a bit high with my score but because I like these kinds of movies I’ll give it a slight passing grade. I still don’t think I’ll be running out to rewatch it anytime soon.
