I didn't understand this movie at all.
I can see the idea and I can see the potential. Unfortunately, though, the execution of the idea was set ablaze and the potential was served undercooked. It's not really a horror, like how it's not really a comedy. A lot of things happen and a lot of things don't, but you can predict how most of it goes. It did doubt me at times but that's mostly because things weren't making sense. The casting was kind of good? All I know is, Ariana DeBose took something deep, saw the funny, and turned it into a comedically entertaining adventure. It doesn't work out in the long run but it kept me till the flimsy end.
Honestly, watch the movie The Menu before watching this movie. It felt like I watched a cooking competition. If you are a vegetarian, watch it😂 they make a lot of vegetable dishes. The guys really did that cooking competition, it was like a joke. The acting is already mediocre, the subject is the same. The script is just okay. A waste of time. Still, thanks for your efforts.
This movie is extremely slow and it goes nowhere Every single action and dialogue takes much more time than it should. Not enough material in the plot.
People always be hating on Blumhouse. Y'all need to chill. Yeah it’s not the scariest horror film, but it’s still an okay viewing. The story had potential to be really creepy, but unfortunately it’s more of a teen horror when it could’ve been better by doing a twisted and dark horror. There’s a couple of yuck moments, but it’s all saved for towards the end of the film. Such a cute restaurant design in the middle of nowhere, loved that set and all those garden and plant shots were stunning. Always great seeing Barbie Ferreira. That girl deserves better after they did her dirty on Euphoria.
