Interesting and well done. It does make you you wonder, why confess? People do confess falsely. That's been proven. I remember one case, where a dad claimed his daughter was kidnapped from home. He had left her sleeping on the couch and when he got up she was gone. Her body was found face down in the shallow waters of a nearby creek. He confessed to having hit her accidentally with a door. She had been behind it and he had slammed the door. Panicking, he took her to the creek. He didn't do it. A sociopath saw swings in the backyard, knew kids lived there, entered the house through an unlocked door and carried her off. He confessed. Why did the dad "confess"? He felt remorse that he hasn't protected his little girl. So it happens. The cops are genius at manipulation, but so are the kind of people who commit crimes. Who to believe? Go with the science. Follow the forensics. Sometimes, the police don't do that. Sometimes they do. In the case of the Dad, they did. Remember the science when you watch this. Not the looks of the accused, their age, their background, intelligence, wealth or lack thereof, your bias, your gut etc. Go with the science. And then decide.

Police detectives are not on our side. They develop tunnel vision very quickly and will use all kinds of slimy tactics. Always, always, always lawyer up and keep your mouth shut. Anything you say can and will be used against you. Anything.

This some good unbiased TV! It is hauntingly scary how unfair the justice system can be. I watched it in less than 12 hours. Now back to some fiction because I need to forget this.

A well-crafted true crime series that will leave you questioning the reliability of confessions in criminal investigations. The interviews with the accused, their families, and law enforcement officials provide a compelling look into the human psyche and the various factors that can lead someone to confess to a crime they didn't commit. Overall, it's a good series that is both informative and entertaining, and it will undoubtedly leave you wondering which of these cases are actually based on truth.

I was constantly pissed off during this show because I was really confused sometimes and I did not know in who or what I should believe. But yeah I totally agree that those people were manipulated and forced to make confession no matter if they did that or not. It was exhausting even to watch that some interrogation was 11 hours long. Problem of this show is that you do not get any answers it is still "maybe". But I definetely reccomend this!
