This is a Dick Wolf adjacent project via his son Elliot doing a lot of the writing. The filming and sequences feel reminiscent of a Law & Order short but with added body-cam footage to make you feel present a la "The Rookie". It's tamer Southland for today's era capturing the struggles of policing in an ever-present woke environment. The very short episodes, 30 min or so, are succinct and tell the story well. The show is fine to watch, even enjoyable - I blasted through it in half a day.
In short this is a cheap gold watch replica of Southland, It's a copshow for basic life casuals who don't even have a quality bar let alone know what one looks like. The dialogue sounds like it came out of the Fisher-Price catalogue, the actors are dull, unbelievable 2D cardboard cutouts that could be replaced by a labradoodle. The acting is on par with your average CW show and the script is so wooden it feels like you're getting ear shafted by a AI bot, yawning is less boring. Your time would probably be better spent going back and watching teletubbies reruns. Safe to say, if you need some background noise in the house, sure, throw it on, but do yourself a solid and don't look at the tv.
I’m really enjoying this show so far. On episode 5. I love that each episode is 30 minutes. Makes it an easy watch. Acting is good and the storyline is solid.
Soo I saw it and I judged the book by its cover and hell yahhh what a masterpiece
Honestly, my expectations were low, but the pacing and character development were great! In terms of style, it feels like a cross between NYPD Blue and The Rookie, but it works. I love the lead characters but every time I see Lori Loughlin I want to vomit. I'm VERY DISAPPOINTED they cast this mediocore, hyper-privaleged actress. There are literally hundreds of other actresses they could have found to play that role, and most far more interesting and talented than her.
