A journey from darkness to light, although with a bittersweet ending for the two protagonists, which may be more or less satisfactory for them but which feels like incomplete happiness. The virtue of the series is that it has a complexity that at the same time explains itself in a simple way, to develop a story that talks about oppressive mothers, abusive fathers, sects and religious fanaticism as elements of disconnection from reality for children. Directors get the creative freedom necessary to deploy a large number of cinematographic references, making them personal. Which allows it to consolidate itself as a more thoughtful and reflective proposal than the previous ones, making it their best directed work to date.
