So often, fictional procedurals are much more exciting than the real thing, and shows which document real cases are either quite dull, or over-sensationalized. This series is a rare exception, and contains loads of footage of the actual crime scenes and real people involved in the case, both family members and police officers. It certainly deserves the extra 'heart' rating. Kudos to the creators, but also to the production personnel who managed to get clearance from the real people to appear on the show. You'll see few blurred or shadowed faces, which makes these cases so much more real, and the viewer so much more emotionally involved.…Oh dear, in episode 104, they're blurring the faces of two career criminals and murderers!
