Orgazmo is low-budget in every scene, but comedy does not need a big bankroll. The film leans hard into its campy, vulgar tone, fully embracing its blasphemous and offensive nature while somehow maintaining a lighthearted, satirical sincerity. Amid the absurdity, Dian Bachar serves as the film’s comedic anchor, and is easily its standout performance.
Orgazmo is a movie that is dumb as hell, but its juvenile antics still crack me up every single time. Created by the minds behind South Park, this absurd satire about a Mormon missionary who accidentally becomes an adult film superhero is packed with crude, low budget charm and completely ridiculous running jokes. It doesn't pretend to be high art, instead, it leans entirely into its own silliness with a cheerful, energetic vibe that makes the potty humor surprisingly endearing. If you are in the mood for something completely thoughtless and hilarious, it is a cult classic that absolutely delivers on stupid laughs.
This film is so Surreal!
I was pleasantly surprised by this. Seriously; like really and genuinely pleased. I thought this would be far more raunchy, offensive, and just on the stupid side, but honestly, it was all around awesome. The storyline was great and the characters were really fun and likeable. The actors were spot on. It's the kind of film where it might be expected that there's a lot of purposely done bad acting, but I don't know; it's hard for me to say it's even like that. The characters were exactly what they were supposed to be. They were done perfectly. The movie didn't feel like just an excuse to show off hot bodies and boobs; and it actually showed off a fair amount of man booty! Amazingly, based on the content, I didn't come away feeling insecure about my own body or feeling off or ashamed about indulging in something to do with pornography. I don't know; they just managed to make it more about an enjoyable plot and less about shock and nudity like one might expect. I appreciated the colliding of two very different worlds and
everything turning out just fine in the end.
Obviously, if you strongly believe that all porn is harmful or are a certain kind of very strict Christian person, this movie is not for you. If those things don't apply to you but you're still a bit uncertain like I was; if you can get behind some nonsensical, ridiculous humor then maybe give it a go! I'm so glad I decided to risk putting it on my watchlist. I thought it might be just an okay movie and certainly not one I'd ever care to bother watching again. But hell yeah; I'd watch this again! It's entertaining, it's funny; it's just ==FUN!==
