It is funnier than the first one. And overall, better.
What I liked most is that this doesn’t even pretend to be a grounded sequel. It plays more like a secretly repackaged Mortal Kombat movie, with Mike Fallon basically fighting his way through a series of increasingly ridiculous boss levels, each one louder, sillier, and more entertaining than the last. The whole thing is funny, knowingly over the top, and packed with fight scenes so well choreographed they sometimes look less like violence and more like two maniacs doing a ballet designed by a pub brawler. Scott Adkins clearly knows exactly what he’s good at, and the camera work is smart enough to show it off instead of chopping everything into action confetti. It’s also a bit of a quasi-buddy movie this time around, which gives it a different flavor from the first one without losing the series’ cheeky, comic-book nastiness. Is it ridiculous? Absolutely. But it knows it’s ridiculous, and that’s half the charm. If anything, this feels less like a one-off sequel and more like the start of a whole Accident Man franchise, where every new movie just sends Fallon off to beat up another collection of beautifully dressed lunatics.
A VERY GOOD MOVIE TO WATCH
Worse than the first. Minimal plot, lots of set piece fighting.
Jokes didn’t land and the action eventually got boring and overdone
