Not sure if this was supposed to make any sense, but it felt like the intention was to point out our silly behavioral patterns by matching them with absurd elements like the deer jacket and the amateur film. It has a lot of interesting ideas, but unfortunately, none of them gets properly developed. The ending felt wasted as well. I thought it was worth watching nevertheless, we definitely need more movies like this.

Quentin Dupieux's cinema is never conventional. He walks a thin line trying to find the balance between absurd comedy and surrealism. Sometimes with more success than others. This alienated man obsessed with a jacket has diverse miscellaneous readings on loneliness, the image portrayed (reality in doubt) and insanity. It is also a satirical fable about cinema and voyeurism.

Absurd but I dig it. I wish I had a jacket THAT cool.
