The most debated film of the decade and the debate was always going to miss the point. Shahid's performance is extraordinary - raw, self-destructive, impossible to look away from even when Kabir is at his most reprehensible. The film doesn't endorse him - it shows you a man in free fall with uncommon honesty. Whether it's the film's job to editorialize more is a legitimate question. But as pure cinema, as an actor carrying a film on sheer force of will - this is one of the greatest Bollywood performances of this decade. And the music, the soundtrack, the album, it's an all timer.

Good plot except the ending. I was expecting a noir movie from trailer. The movie shows a toxic protagonist so don’t really idealise him, and shows a weak female character. Overall, good watch.
