I’ll be shocked if this doesn’t sweep at the Razzies next year. Finally I have a proper alternative whenever I feel like watching _The Room_. Everyone should watch it, and corporate Marvel/DC slaves should be forced to sit through it. Imagine Jamie Foxx’ Electro (before he turned blue) from _The Amazing Spider-Man 2_, dial that performance up to eleven, and you’d be pretty close to what Travolta is doing here. This movie is just the best.
Hilarious, entertaining, and emotional. I honestly don’t get the hatred over this film. This horror/dark comedy is actually an accurate take on some of those over obsessed fans we know are out there. In my opinion, all celebrity worship is idiotic and it is perfectly portrayed in this film. I feel like it's been ages since the last time I've seen John Travolta in a film but I really like his role here. His and Devon's characters are both genuinely interesting and also hilariously over the top I laughed out loud plenty of times. The female friend character could've been written way better and they could have pushed the gore a little harder but nonetheless, still a solid film.
Travolta's career takes another knock with another awful picture. Its a shame really, as he can be a good actor. But with films like this one, it'll be a while before he gets the acclaim he used to.
Such a strange movie. It does not fall into the "so bad, it's good" category, because it's just weird. I do think everyone should watch this once - just so they can be in on the laughter when everyone talks about this movie!
What's with the voice over from the girl who is not the main character? Nothing she says adds to the story. What's with the drawings in between scenes? Why was the dead housekeeper just forgotten about for 45 minutes? Why did Dunbar silently surrender to the cops?
All laugh out loud laughable!
One of the bravest roles in John Travolta career...and am actually being serious.
