I went into this movie with an open mind. I knew I was stepping into a movie made to fit an agenda, but I tried to put that aside and just enjoy the film for what it was. Turns out, that was impossible. Disney’s 2025 live-action Snow White is an insult to both the original masterpiece and audiences who expected a faithful, compelling adaptation. Instead of delivering a visually stunning and narratively rich reimagining, the film stumbles at every step, proving that not every classic needs a remake, especially not one this soulless. I was curious to how they would manage to justify Snow White’s name, well they simply erased the very essence of its backstory. The character’s defining feature (her “skin as white as snow”) is conveniently omitted for obvious casting reasons, stripping away a fundamental piece of the fairy tale’s identity. If Disney wanted to create an original heroine, they should have done so instead of rewriting an existing one to fit a forced agenda. Beyond that, the story has been sanitized to the point of absurdity. The original animated movie _Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs_ was already a film aimed at children, yet this version manages to sugarcoat an already gentle tale, removing any emotional weight or stakes. The result? A bland, uninspired narrative that lacks both charm and substance. They decided to give way more screen time to the Evil Queen, trying to “develop” her character. They really shouldn’t have. It was painful to watch. Instead of making her more compelling, they just dragged the whole movie down with unnecessary scenes that added nothing of value. Worst of all, this adaptation takes an Oscar-winning classic and turns it into an unwatchable mess. From uninspired performances to lackluster visuals, every aspect of the film feels hollow. The magic, the heart, the timeless appeal... gone. This movie deserves to tank, if only to remind studios that not every beloved film needs to be reimagined, especially not like this.
Snow Off-White and the Seven Little AI People
😂 Rating this a 1/10 as most people would. Rachel Zegler is ugly on the inside and the outside. I'll give Gal Gadot a break for this one. Both are intolerable shits. There's a reason why the YouTube trailer for this movie holds a record for the most number of thumbs-down reactions.
No. Just no. Disney, once again with yet another SOULLESS, UNNECESSARY, and UNINSPIRING remake of a timeless classic. They got away with Mulan, Aladdin, Lion King, and that was understandable to an extent, but come on, this just doesn't work. Anyway, about the movie itself: Wow. What did I just witness? Everything feels so out of place, CGI can be awful at times and the songs are mostly forgettable. Gal Gadot was really disappointing in her performance. She's had some good movies in her CV, but this won't be definitely one of them. (If she does have any) It felt like halfway through filming of this movie , she just crashed out. She just couldn't give the vibe that a villain would look like. As for Rachel Zegler, well, it'll sound like beating a dead horse at this point, but I'll do it anyway. (Not considering her political controversies) She actually does do her best, in all honesty. She looks like she is perfect for the role on the basis of appearance, and her singing was pretty good. It's just that at times, or most of the time, she seems so uninspiring, and distant from what's going on. And of course, the messaging. Way too many mixed messages, confusing the original. Pushing the narrative of "Strong Independent Woman who needs no man" and blah blah blah....I'm running out of words here. Just too tired from this mess I watched. Disney should take a break from remakes for a very long time. Its not needed anymore. 3/10.
Even Bob the Builder can't fix this.
