Another really good film by Jim Mickle. It changes directions a number of times to the point where I had no idea what was going to happen next. The story really turns ugly about two-thirds of the way through. But the strength of the characters, particularly Sam Shepard and the scene-stealing Don Johnson, keep everything from getting overwhelmingly dark. And let me just say that the crimes committed are shocking. I'd personally score this even higher, but it turns into too much of a typical gunfight at the end. Did I mention how good Don Johnson is in this?
It was OK. Kind of two different movies. The first half I enjoyed. The second not so much.
The framer who wants to do justice.
Keep me entertained due to the actors.
The film is good until the moment when they explain to us why and why. This is really noir about the 80s, the mysterious events are really flooded with the Texas sun. It is interesting to get to the bottom of the matter together with the hero, but the film abruptly changes the genre and rushes to the final massacre. Leaving questions. Mickle's shows are getting better
