As bleak as the passing of winter itself, this is a competently made, but often uninteresting drama.

The classic example of the parts being much greater than the sum. I love Ed Harris. I love when Will Farrel takes on indie projects (Stranger than Fiction was fantastic). I didn't mind Zoey Deschanel. The story wasn't even all that bad. First, Ed Harris was completely wasted. Most of the time they just had him mumbling and stumbling about. Farrel's character wasn't much better.
