This was a great film, surprised I've never heard of it before. Solid prison film, great story, great characters. Very much worth the watch.

I was expecting an over the top prison movie like Undisputed or Brawl in Cell Block 99. It's a more grounded movie (I suppose), and it's definitely not a bad movie but I also never really got hooked. It was crazy to first see Harold Perrineau's character all cute with his son and then see him become a piece of 💩 against prisoners. I was super tired and even dozed off for a few seconds so this might deserve a higher rating but for now it's just okay to me.
