Truly utterly disturbing but less so than the actual case. So sad and wrong what people will do to each other...
I've seen, The girl next door , the fictionalized version of the true story but liked this more because of being more based on the facts behind the case that I'm horrified with. Knowing the story already, i wasn't surprised how dark, deep and tense at times this film was gonna be like, though not has much violence as the other version that made it easy to watch, some times I can get a little frizz on that kinda stuff because of it being based on a true story, but I felt Sylvia likens pain so I guess it felt the same. I thought Ellen Page performance was very strong, and the cast that supported her did a good job. RIP Sylvia likens.
The cast gives great performances (the kids being the exception, of course) but I thought this was ultimately a letdown but not a compete failure. Baniszewski was sympathized a little too much for my liking. I'm sorry, even for the 60s there's some evil in you if you were abusing children at this level.
Pfff. Gente existe asi en el mundo. Q fuerte
I preferred the fictionalized account of this case by Jack Ketchum...but as the book. This is the superior film to "The Girl Next Door." It is such a sad tale and not sure anyone truly came to justice.
